The Second Door

Some artwork I made for an 11 session cosmic horror campaign I wrapped up earlier this month. A very complex, lore-heavy mystery about an archaeological excavation in 1964 Scotland, a cult venerating a 4th century mystic, fish people, and a Great Old One from an impossible far future just waiting to be born.

Saint Ciniath, the founder of the cult, now fully transformed into a horrible human plesiosaur.

A fuath, one of the cultists lucky enough to live to see the final day and be transformed.

Uraias Adamache, the most enlightened of the Cult of Ciniath, in his transformed state.

My earliest sketches of Ciniath, before someone had the wonderful suggestion of giving him a fin made of human toes.

On roll20, I had a combo regional map and a roster of the important characters and discoveries. It worked out great and helped the players keep everything straight.
