Leasher sketches. The Leasher was our basic ranged enemy, which could also limit player movement. Here are a bunch of quick sketches, exploring different possibilities.
Leasher version 1. Exploring the weird multiple faces and loopy anatomy I established in some earlier concepts.
Leasher 2. Giving him a big ol' beak and making him look trickstery and sinister.
Leasher 3. Priorities shifted after this and we never ended up taking the Leasher enemy to final.
A bunch of sketches for the Exploder, a combination of an alien pufferfish and a living mine. The idea was that it was an enemy that would activate when you got within range, approach slowly but obviously, and self destruct when it got to you.
A few color and design options for the Exploder.
The final exploder.
Some very loose sketches of some fractured/corrupted wildlife. I made a point of using mostly Gondwanan prehistoric animals.
A rendering/photobash of a corrupted Purassaurus, a real life giant crocodilian from South America.
Corrupted Purassaurus with extra special effects.
Loose sketches of cosmic enemies.
A more refined paint sketch of one of the cosmic enemies. This would be a big, mobile bruiser type, but would also have some sort of ranged or swarm attack with his floaty heads.
A big artillery cosmic monster. I used the same head as one of the Leasher designs above.
Constructs, leftovers from a previous advanced civilization, still repairing drywall and tending gardens in the ruins. These obviously didn't get very far, but I kinda like the shapes looking back at them now.
